[Albany: Brandow Printing Company, for the Printing House Craftsmen, 1932.] Folio, unique tribute scrapbook specially constructed on the occasion of the retirement of James Clapham, master printer and Vice-President of the Brandow Printing Company, containing a biography and portrait of Clapham, original documents, signed tributes composed by his colleagues and friends, each original document set into the page; newspaper clippings, signed endorsements from the principals of thirty-three other local printing companies and allied industries, each on letterhead; a copy of Clapham's pamphlet, Beauty as it Pertains to Typography; the Albany Style Book for Printing; original photographs, manuscript and annotated typescript of Clapham's writings on printing; and other material, including the menu for the dinner held in Clapham's honor at the time this book was presented, with its printer-related menu, featuring: italic celery sticks, bookbinders' olives, pressroom clam chowder, linecut steak, wrong font potatoes, offset ice cream, and smoke a la printers' profit; bound in full red morocco with a cloth case, the case failing, 15 3/4 x 11 1/2 in.
