Description:

Williams, William (1731-1811) Signed Receipt and Clipped Signature, 1773-1774. Signature cut from the bottom of a printed document dated 1774, and a detailed receipt, both on laid paper, sizes vary. (2)
Williams was a merchant, and a delegate for Connecticut to the Continental Congress in 1776, and a signatory of the Declaration of Independence.
