Description:
Rossetti, Christina (1830-1894) Autograph Letter, Autograph Sentiment, and Two Photographs of her Funeral. Letter on mourning notepaper with accompanying envelope, 10 April 1886. To H. Buxton Forman Esquire (1842-1917),the poet stating her "deep grief for my dearest Mother" and asking for the return of books lent. Folds only, 7 x 4 1/4 in.
Sentiment signed and dated 1890, "Does the road wind uphill all the way? Yes, to the very end," mounted with a portrait, 5 3/4 x 3 1/4 in.
[and] Two period photographs mounted on card of the scene in the cemetery when Rossetti's remains were interred, 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.
