Mears, Helen Farnsworth (1872-1916) Bronze Medal of Edward Alexander MacDowell (1860-1908),1925. Smaller version of the relief made by Mears in 1906, depicting the composer, produced by the Gorham Company in Providence, Rhode Island, for the artist's sister, Mary Mears, in 1925, with the original receipt, two photographs of the piece, and a typed description made for sale written by Mary Mears, the plaque 9 1/2 x 8 in.
[Together with] a small archive of material related to the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire, including approximately thirteen brochures and pamphlets, an article with handwritten edits, and approximately thirty black-and-white photographs of the buildings, gardens, and woodland views around the colony, including two pictures showing Helen Farnsworth and Mary Mears, some labeled on the back.
