Fairfax, Thomas, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (1693-1781) Signed Land Deed, November 22, 1775. Parchment land deed with seal, signed by Fairfax in lower right corner, concerning Henry Whiting of Frederick County, for a 951 acre tract of land in Berkeley County called Swan Ponds, as surveyed by Guy Broadwater and Richard Rigg, with neighbors Rutherford, Turner, Wilson, Fairfax, and Vanmeter abutting, old folds, some fading to text, but generally legible, paper seal over wax in the upper left corner, 16 x 12 3/4 in.
