The lining is a relatively new glue or resin lining. There are scattered dashes and strokes of retouch including some around her eyes and on her lips. There is some minor fine and scattered craquelure (stable). Possible faint inscription or date l.l. The painting was cleaned on April 8, 2015 at The Cooley Gallery in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
