Condition: Minor retouch, fine craquelure, bowing to panel.
Provenance: Christie's South Kensington, 19th Century European Art, Thursday, December 4, 2003, Lot 197; to a private Massachusetts collection.

A partial label on the reverse states that this work was a donation from Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cortell, Ohio. The institution name on the label has been abraded. The Cortell family supported several museums in Ohio, particularly in Akron and Canton, and they supported the arts in Palm Beach, Florida, as well.
Small areas of retouch primarily to sky.
