Two cellars anchor our April 26th auction, both offer deep holdings of vintage Bordeaux and Burgundy with unexpected and thrilling wines threaded throughout, and both have benefited from deep, extended slumbers allowing the graceful evolution of the wine to unfold. Highlights include an original wood case of de Vogue Musigny Cuvee Vieilles Vignes 1966, six bottles of Domaine de la Romanee Conti Montrachet 1969, an original wood case of Chateau La Mission Haut Brion 1982 and five bottles of 1982 Petrus. These two significant collections are supported by many other noteworthy lots including the exemplary 2010 Duclot Collection in original packaging, a collection of Guigal’s La Las from the highly praised 1982 and 1985 vintages and a broad selection of Opus One, along with rare selections from Willett, Black Maple Hill and Van Winkle, including Old Rip Van Winkle 23 Years Old decanter and Van Winkles 1974 (16 Years Old and 17 Years Old).
