French Industrial Windmill Automaton Clock Compendium, France, c. 1890, cast brass eight-day, key-wind, time-only tower mill-form case with a conical roof, 2 1/4-in. silvered roman numeral dial, and aneroid barometer, two silvered alcohol thermometer scales on either side, one reading in Celsius/Reaumur the other in Fahrenheit, pierced railing and a lower hinged door opening to reveal the winding arbor for the independent spring-driven mechanism that operates the four pierced sails, ht. 17 1/2 in.
