Herter Brothers Anglo-Japanese Bed and Vanity, America, mid to late 19th century, each of ebonized cherry with marquetry, impressed marks "Herter Bros," including a bed with a paneled headboard of blossom motifs surmounting stilework, shaped side rails, and a footboard, ht. 63 1/4, wd. 63 1/2, dp. 84 1/2; and a vanity with inlaid blossom-motif crest rail over turned stiles and a mirror over two marble-top columnar supports each with four drawers, connected by a lower rear inlaid apron, ht. 87 1/2, wd. 62 1/2, dp. 16 1/2 in.

Overall signs of age-typical wear and use including some nicks and surface abrasions, one of the top bed side rail brackets has been repaired and needs securing, there is also a repair to ear on headboard. Vanity with similar signs of age-typical wear and use overall with abrasions and nicks, one drawer on right side not opening, and silvering/signs of age to bottom edge of mirror. See photos
