Description:
Hanging Scroll Calligraphy, China, Li Shizeng (1881-1973),dated 1925, a running script couplet: "knowledge can make one connect the past and present; passion for literature can make one happy and live in harmony," signed "li yuying," with one artist seal "li shizeng yuying zhi yin," inscribed "upon Mr. Yun Qin's request in 1948 and done in the summer of 1949," ink on paper, calligraphy 12 x 27 in.
Note: Li Shizeng is the founder and former director of the Palace Museum.
