Yoichiro Hirase, Kai Senshu, Four Volumes, Japan, also known as Kai Chigusa, "One Thousand Species of Shells," published by Unsodo, Kyoto, 1914-22, each volume with twenty double-page full-color woodblock prints, text in Japanese, with plate listings in Japanese and Latin and English preface in volume two, all with original orange silk covers, 9 7/8 x 7 1/8 in.
Note: Ten volumes were planned, but only four were realized, later volumes had a limited press run.
