Dunes, Oceano, 1936, printed later by Cole Weston. Stamped "NEGATIVE/BY/EDWARD WESTON/PRINT/BY" in black ink and signed "Cole Weston" in pencil on the reverse of the mount at center, titled and dated in pencil on the reverse of the mount u.r. Gelatin silver print mounted to board, image/sheet size 7 3/8 x 9 1/4 in. (18.7 x 23.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Minor 1/4-inch crease c.l., faint scattered fox marks on the mount.
Provenance: Acquired from Kiva Gallery, Boston, 1977; to a private Rhode Island collection.

Several faint fox marks on the back of the mount and in the u.l. corner of the mount recto. The mount has a slightly textured surface, and there appears to be a very faint overall mottling that may be attributable to the acidic mount. The print does not appear to be affected.
