Arts and Crafts Gold Gem-set Necklace, Arthur and Georgie Gaskin, c. 1909, the central pendant with bezel-set opals framed by old mine-cut diamonds, pink tourmalines, seed pearls, and green glass in a foliate motif, suspended from three strands of delicate trace link chain joined to larger gem-set links, reverse with floral decoration, unsigned, lg. 16 1/2 in.
Note: The Gaskins' sketchbook, in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, shows a similar necklace entitled "Pink Clover" that was sold through the Baillie Gallery in 1909.
