The painting has a nice presence and a dry-looking surface. There is a small speck of inpainting above her lip, a line of repair through her left arm, eight to ten spots in the background (five of which are at upper right),none bigger than two quarters next to each other, two spots in her leggings, a spot near the rose, a faint halo over her hair which may just be brushwork, and a retouched tear through the left foot.
