Two Staffordshire Transfer-printed Lafayette Table Items, England, early 19th century, a gold and yellow lusterware creamer with scene depicting Lafayette in a medallion flanked by angels, the other side with "CORNWALLIS/Resigning his Sword at York Town Oct. 19, 1781," ht. 4; and a white earthenware teapot with red transfer-printed images of Lafayette with border reading "WELCOME LA FAYETTE, THE NATIONS GUEST," ht. 6 1/4 in.

The white earthenware teapot shows evidence of restoration; the lusterware creamer has no obvious chips, cracks, or evidence of repair.
