Oil on canvas, the woman seated, wearing a white dress with pink ribbon, holding a book and seated in a red-painted chair, 30 x 24 in., in a molded ebonized and parcel-gilt frame.
Condition: Mounted on new stretcher and edge lined, evidence of minor retouch at top edge, and edge of proper right arm, very small partial puncture at lower right, varnish fluoresces green.
