First edition, signed presentation dated July 1852 on ffep, octavo, illustrated with large folding map and seventy-five lithographs, many in color, bound in unrestored publisher's blind-stamped brown cloth; bottom two-thirds of flyleaf with inscription trimmed away and lacking, 9 x 5 1/2 in.
