All volumes are first editions; all bound in original publisher's pictorial cloth gilt (blue, green, red, and salmon respectively),t.e.g., all but the first with pictorial endpapers, each volume in its original dust jacket; all illustrated by E. H. Shepard; dust jackets toned along spines, some chipping with loss; amateurish tape repairs on two jackets; the text of When We Were Very Young, is in the second state, with page ix numbered; all jackets bear the 7/6 price on the spine; Winnie-the-Pooh has "117th thousand" designation for When We Were Very Young on the rear flap; 7 3/8 x 4 3/4 in.
