First edition, large page copy (quarto),illustrated with fourteen plates (of fifteen),of which twelve are hand-colored (including the frontispiece),the two folding plates at the back are uncolored; lacking the facsimile letter from Nelson meant to be found after the preface; bound in full straight grain morocco, with a nautical fore-edge painting of a naval review by George III at Spithead; contents good, final folding plate repaired, 12 1/2 x 9 3/4 in.
