Armenian Manuscript, c. 1659. Small format text manuscript on polished laid paper, approximately twenty gatherings of ten leaves; the text in black ink with some headlines in red and less often in blue, about seventeen lines per page, each gathering marked on the recto of the first leaf and verso of last; bound in contemporary blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, with parchment flyleaves, striped fabric pastedowns, original endbands present; the binding somewhat worn, leather beginning to lift from back board, three of four leather ties lacking; sewing structure partially defective, some leaves lacking, 5 x 4 in.
