Description:

Taft, William Howard (1857-1930) Typed Letter Signed, Washington, D.C., 2 February 1905. Single page of War Department letterhead, typed on one page, the address and signature in Taft's hand. To Walter F. John Jones of Cincinnati, suggesting that he should get in touch with Emanuel de Iriarte, Chief of the Bureau of Archives, Manila, in his quest to obtain early issues of Philippine and Guam stamps. One old fold, slightly toned near the edges on the verso, 9 x 5 3/4 in.
