William Kavanagh & Son Rook Rifle with Maker's Case, c. late 19th century, serial number 8502, approx. .30 caliber, walnut stock with checkered forend and grip, frame with simple foliate and scroll engraving and a cartouche marked "W. KAVANAGH/& SON/DUBLIN," octagonal barrel with textured top flat, the left side engraved "12 DAME ST DUBLIN," the right flat engraved "W. KAVANAGH & SON," with leather maker's case and screwdriver, overall lg. 41 3/4 in.
