Ideal No. 4R 16 Gauge Double-barrel Shotgun, c. 20th century, serial number 21604, walnut stock with fine checkering on forend and grip, the butt with retractable sling, the frame with foliate engraving marked on the underside "IDEAL" in a sunken cartouche, barrels with textured rib, right barrel engraved "Manufacture Francaise d'Armes et Cycles de St. Etienne," the right barrel engraved "Fusil l/Ideal Brevete dans tous Les Pays," overall lg. 41 1/2 in.
