Samuel Toulmin Mahogany Longcase Clock, London, c. 1780, pagoda top with carved patera at the center, fluted plinths and two brass finials, pierced blind fret surrmounts the glazed dial opening and silvered sheet brass engraved dial signed Samuel Toulmin/Strand/London, roman numerals, strike-silent in the arch, seconds dial, and recessed date, pierced steel hands, the waist door flanked by brass stop-fluted quarter-columns, the base with raised panel and two-stage base molding, eight-day time and strike, brass, five-pillar movement, pendulum and two weights, ht. 95 in.
