Sauer & Sohn 16 Gauge Double-barrel Shotgun, c. late 19th century, serial number 57377, walnut stock with checkered wrist and forend, frame lightly engraved with foliate designs, with some remnant color case finish, marked on the left and right of the receiver "J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL," lightly engraved trigger guard, marked on both sides of the barrels "SELBSTSPANNER-SYSTEM J.P.SAUER & SOHN, SUHL," barrel lg. 28 5/8, overall lg. 45 1/2 in.
