Midshipman's Dirk, Scabbard, and Suspension Chains, c. early 19th century, period ivory grip, pierced-brass counterguard, brass pommel with an eagle, blued and gilt blade with foliate designs, panoply of arms, and American eagle, brass scabbard with foliate designs and an eagle, and suspension chains, blade lg. 7 1/4, overall lg. 10 3/4 in.

Pommel cap is lose, some gilt worn off brass fittings and scabbard, some light blueing loss.
