Kriegsgertel, Germany, mid-16th century, tall hooked blade with spiked beak on the back, the blade marked three times with an armorer's mark consisting of a sunken heart cartouche with dot inner border and "M" in the center, forge-welded socket, mounted on a modern round pole, overall lg. 82 in.
