James Woodward Rook Rifle, c. late 19th century, serial number 6176, .300 caliber, walnut stock with checkered wrist and forend, frame lightly engraved with foliate designs, some remnant color case finish, marked on the top of the barrel "JAMES WOODWARD & SONS. 64 ST. JAMES'S ST. LONDON. S.W.," barrel lg. 26, overall lg. 42 in.

Provenance: Vintage Doubles LLC, Wenatchee, Washington, December 13, 2012.

Some wood loss on the right side of the fore-end, wear to the checkering on the wrist, barrel and receiver finish in very good condition.
