Gorham Sterling Silver Four-arm Epergne, Providence, c. 1890, special order number 1660, interior base of stem faintly inscribed "J Warner/No 20," with a single upright stem supporting the largest cut glass dish, with cupids balancing on pendant floral swags to two sides and four additional acanthus-capped and scrolled arms supporting cut glass dishes, all raised on a quatrefoil base with vacant cartouches, chased floral sprays, and four acanthus-capped and scrolled shell feet, silver ht. 17 1/4, including glass ht. 19 1/2 in., approx. 165.1 troy oz.

Base with probable engraving removal to both vacant cartouches (each with halo, silver surface still strong). Feet with scattered patches to underside to fill areas of wear through surface (one very small hole to one foot not filled),very unobtrusive. Stem and arms in good overall condition with only light surface wear. Glass with scattered minor fleabites, two larger flaked losses to base of glass where it sits in silver (not visible from exterior).
