Freeway Curve, from Recent Etchings I, 1979-80, trial proof outside of the edition of 50, published by Parasol Press, New York, printed by Crown Point Press, Oakland. Signed and dated "Thiebaud 1980" in pencil l.r., inscribed "Trial Color Proof II" in pencil l.l. Etching with aquatint and drypoint in black and blue on paper, plate size 18 3/4 x 22 in. (47.5 x 55.9 cm),framed.
Condition: Deckled upper and lower edges, pinholes to corners of margins, hinges detached, 3/8-inch tear to corner u.r., not examined out of frame.
Provenance: A private California collection.

Sheet measures 23 x 30 inches and is floated in the frame. Hinges have slipped resulting in a minor horizontal crease at l.l. and subtle curling of deckle at edge of sheet l.r. Rippling to left and right edges. Subtle handling crease in the margin at u.c.
