Low Portrait Tiles and Three Other Portrait Tiles, United States, late 19th/early 20th century, two metal-framed tiles in glossy green and amber glazes depicting women with classical hairstyles, one facing right, the other left, stamped mark Low Tile and Metal MFG. Co. Chelsea, Mass. Pat. Apl'd for, dia. 4 1/2; a paperweight with same tile as the right facing woman above in sang de boeuf glaze, unmarked dia. 3 3/4; a metal-framed tile in glossy amber glaze depicting a kneeling woman at a spring, unmarked, dia. 2 3/4; and two tiles in glossy blue glaze depicting women, in a modern wood frame, 11 3/4 x 8 in.
