Note: A pen inscription on the backing reads: "William Eyre/Second Son/of/Th-- & Eliz--/Eyre/10 October/.1784." A genealogical search finds record of a William Eyre, born to Thomas and Elizabeth, who was baptized in 1784 in Surrey, England.
