Five Early Brass and Copper Snuff Boxes, England, 18th/19th century, a round, three-dial combination brass box engraved on the bottom "John Crafter/Robert Rouen/1706/TWYFORD"; a brass, oval, three-dial combination box engraved on the front "May 14th 1809" and on the back "Martha Susanah Sugden/KIGHLEY" with a dog pointing at two birds in tall grass; a brass, rectangular, four-dial combination box with punched inscription on the back "J HARKER/POLICE/WHITEHAVEN/JUNE 28/1847"; a lozenge-shaped box with floral-engraved spring-loaded double-slide lid; and a copper heart-shaped box with a George II halfpenny on the lid, wd. to 3 5/8 in.
