George II Sterling Silver Tankard, London, 1753-54, Thomas Whipham, maker, cylindrical, tapering to domed lid with scrolled thumbpiece and handle, applied waistband, stepped foot, and engraved monogram and inscription to underside of foot, ht. 7 1/4 in., approx. 26.3 troy oz.

Engraving removal to body (silver still firm),light surface wear, restoration to thumbpiece, a few scattered minor pin-print dents. Footrim dented in slightly (still sits well).
