Description:

Creamware Dessert Plate, England, c. 1775, probably Staffordshire or possibly Yorkshire, press-molded wavy hexagon shape with raised three-prong feather border in green surrounding a central puce floral sprig, dia. 8 3/4 in.

Provenance: From the Troy Chappell Collection.
Literature: Identical illustrated in If These Pots Could Talk, by Hume, p. 211, fig. IX.44.

A shallow 1/4" rim chip to the front and back edge; enamel trim line with scattered flaking.
