Two George III/IV Sterling Silver Salvers, one London, 1813-14, Samuel Hennell, maker, with gadrooned rim offset by scrolls and a central dated 1891 presentation inscription to Graham King, Honorary Secretary of the Lord Major and Sherriff's Committee surrounded by six processional carriages, dia. 14 5/8, and a Scottish salver, Edinburgh, 1827-28, Walter & Patrick Cunningham, maker, with reeded edge and engraved armorial to center, dia. 10 1/4 in., approx. 60.8 troy oz. total.
Provenance: The Estate of Hugh Trumbull Adams, to benefit the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Collections Acquisitions Fund.
