Description:

Two Pieces of George III Sterling Silver Tea Ware, London, an oval tea caddy, 1774-75, William Vincent, maker, with budding branch finial, Greek key registers, and engraved crest within a shield cartouche, ht. 4; and a drum-form teapot, 1794-95, maker's mark over struck with "GB" possibly for George Braiser, ht. 6 1/4 in., approx. 25.4 troy oz. total.

Provenance: The Estate of Hugh Trumbull Adams, to benefit the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Collections Acquisitions Fund.

Teapot with restorations to spout and base joint, engraving removal to one cartouche (unobtrusive, silver surface slightly weaker). Tea caddy with one side of lid slightly lifted when closed. Each otherwise with light surface wear, lacquered.
