Federal Carved Mahogany Sewing Stand, attributed to Rufus Pierce, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1820, the case with molded and figured leaves over two drawers and an upholstered bag with original marbled lining, raised on scroll-carved lyre supports, turned medial stretcher, and carved and molded downswept legs terminating in paw casters, original brasses, (imperfections),ht. 28, wd. 19 1/2, dp. 18 3/4 in.
