Billingsgate, 1859, final state (Kennedy, 47viii; MacDonald, 51ix). Signed and dated within the plate, label from Frederick Keppel & Co., Inc., New York, affixed to the backing. Etching on paper, plate size 6 x 8 7/8 in. (15.1 x 22.6 cm),framed.
Condition: Gentle rippling, subtle staining to image, not examined out of frame.

Out of the frame the sheet measures 8 5/16 x 11 inches, and is glued to the backing along all edges. The sheet is rippled and loose, indicating that the sheet is not laid down entirely. There is staining and toning especially to the bottom third of the work.
