Rare Etruscan Revival Gold Bracelet, Ernesto Pierret, c. 1860, the central boss depicting a bucrania, tapering links with applied bead and wirework accents, completed by a clasp designed as two faces, 102.6 dwt, lg. 7 3/4 in., maker's mark.
Note: Ernesto Pierret (1824-1870) was a French jeweler working in Rome. In an 1869 guidebook, Pierret was described as "one of the first artists of Rome, second only to Castellani, whose copies of antique jewellery are of the highest order."
