Signed "Derain" l.r.
Oil on canvas, 12 1/4 x 10 in. (32.0 x 25.4 cm), framed.
Condition: Varnish discoloration, surface grime.

N.B. A certificate of authenticity issued by André Pacitti signed and dated October 20, 1965, in Paris, accompanies the lot. The current owners purchased the painting from the Galerie des Beaux-Arts, Paris, in 1965. The painting is also cited in Michel Kellermann, Andre´ Derain: (1880-1954) : catalogue raisonne´ de l'oeuvre peint (Paris: Ed. Gale´rie Schmit, 1999), catalogue number 2008.

Identified and numbered 1027 on an unattributed label affixed to the stretcher. Numbered "#1027 Bin 10" and "15909" in different hands on the stretcher. With a partial French custom stamp on the reverse.
