Thomas Hart Benton (American, 1889-1975)

I Got a Girl on Sourwood Mountain, 1938, edition of 250, published by Associated American Artists, New York (Fath, 19). Signed "Benton" in pencil l.r. and within the matrix, identified on a label from AAA that accompanies the lot. Lithograph on Rives paper with watermark, image size 12 1/2 x 9 1/4 in. (31.6 x 23.3 cm), unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Full sheet with deckled edges.

Provenance: Descended within the family to the current Massachusetts estate.
Estimate $1,200-1,800

Sheet measures 15 7/8 x 11 3/4 in. (40.3 x 29.9 cm). Scattered minor handling crimps. Minor crease in the u.l. corner of the sheet.
