Description:
The Red Violin, one of four surviving screen-used hero props assembled and finished for the 1998 film The Red Violin by J & A Beare, London; this particular instrument with baroque setup was used during the montage of composer John Corigliano's "The Gypsies; Journey Across Europe," and bears two small jewels set in the scroll, as well as two small holes in the pegbox where a camera was mounted during filming.
