Rivera, Diego (1886-1957) and Izetta Jewel (1883-1978) Radio Interview on Three Transcription Records. Three transcription records from an interview recorded for KCBQ, a Columbia Broadcasting System radio station in San Diego in Mexico City, in February of 1951; the records in their original sleeves with notes on the records themselves and on the sleeves, housed in the period mailing envelope, each record is 16 in. in diameter, transcription records were used in the radio industry in this period, and play alternately edge to center and center to edge.
Jewel was an American stage actress and later a women's rights activist and politician. Rivera painted Jewel's portrait in 1951, presumably at the time of this interview.
