Remington, Frederic Sackrider (1861-1909) Autograph Letter Signed, [undated.] Single sheet of writing paper, inscribed on one page. To Richard H. Faulkner, explaining that his picture, entitled "Hands Off" represents an Alaskan miner "beset by starving Indians that are pillaging his sled"; and mentioning that he no longer rides horses because of an accident. "I have finished riding; a year ago a big horse fell on a brick pavement, scared by [an] auto and smashed my leg very badly." Top right corner torn through, the torn piece still present, repaired from the verso, loss to mid right margin, with no loss of text, matted and framed with a reproduction of "Hands Off," 9 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.
