Engraved document on parchment with George's signature in the upper left corner, appointing Donald Campbell Captain in the Second Battalion, of the First or Royal Regiment of Foot, under General Adam Gordon, Lord Gordon (1726-1801),countersigned by Frederick Lord North (1732-1792); some puckering, central fold reinforced/repaired on the verso, some discoloration, matted and framed with portraits of George III and Lord North, 15 3/4 x 11 in. sight.
