Description:

Mermod Freres Twelve-air Cylinder Musical Box, no. 775, Switzerland, 19th century, 13 1/2-in. nickel-plated cylinder with crank arm, single comb, zither attachment, Jacot's Safety Check, slow/fast plate, and change/repeat shield, tune sheet marked 111775, rosewood and marquetry veneered case with two cast-brass carrying handles, wd. 28 in.
Estimate $1,500-2,500

plays well with a bit of background noise, cylinder marked 111775, case has been refinished, some edging of veneer loss, split in lid, box separation on right side at top, stop/start wood plank appears to be replaced and one divider was moved, tune sheet probably not original.
