Regency-style Carlton House Mahogany Desk, 19th century, with mahogany and satinwood, the curved superstructure fitted with eleven drawers, a vacant compartment for correspondence, and two cabinets, all flanked by two sloping compartments, each with inlaid patera, and hardware stamped "HENRY BOKER," resting atop a writing surface, and a frieze with one long drawer surrounded by four short drawers with hardware stamped with "MADE IN ENGLAND," all supported on tapered inlaid legs terminating in spade feet and casters, ht. 39, wd. 50, dp. 25 1/2 in.

Mahogany not rosewood veneer. Veneer surface dry with cracking to varnish in various areas. Sloped compartment with slight lifting at ends (still closes). Lacking pulls to curved doors. Scattered minor nicks and abrasions. Professional restorations throughout with related finish inconsistencies.
