George III Sterling Silver Two-arm Epergne, London, 1804, Joseph Preedy, maker, the central frame with a foliate scrollwork gallery supporting a cut glass bowl and two reeded arms with smaller cut glass dishes, all on four legs topped with Bacchic masks, terminating in acanthus-capped hoof feet, and joined by a foliate stretcher to an upright crown-form base with sails encircling a raised arm with a trident, central frame (not including glass) ht. 12 1/2, lg. 12 1/2 in., approx. 126.7 troy oz.

Missing two of the original four arms. Several very minor breaks and losses to upper frieze (see images, unobtrusive) and a small profession repair/resoldering to frieze. Several flag/staff elements to central upright missing or bent. Several elements bent slightly including glass supports to arms which are very slightly out of round. Otherwise in good condition with only very minor surface wear, nicks and abrasion (excellent preservation of detail throughout). Glass elements with scattered minor chipped losses and abrasions, no major restorations or hairline cracks.
